Sunday Drive Convoy

The club meets weekly at what we affectionately call the "TT" or "Teh Tarik" sessions. At these sessions it is not uncommon to notice members swapping technical details, experiences, promoting Auto products, making business contacts but most importantly fostering fellowship centered around the common love for the car. Apart from the "TT" sessions, the most celebrated activity of the club is the Sunday Drives where members are encouraged to bring their families along.

The Sunday Drives begin with a selection of individuals surveying a safe and exciting route for a convoy drive for members. The drives normally takes off early in the morning paving a route through scenic locations, breaking for breakfast and concludes just before noon. The drive is conducted professionally where marshals are established in the group communicating through wireless radios ensuring the safety of the convoy.

To test the limits of the cars safely the club organizes track days where members are given an opportunity to drive their cars at the Sepang International Circuit to the limit. These events are always chaperoned by Motorsport representatives and all cars attending are always subjected to preliminary inspecting to ensure safety. The are also in the plans advance driving courses organized at a premium rate to enable members to better the driving skills.

The club also organized charity events to return something back to the community. Never forgetting the community, the club has donated to the Ronald McDonald home, the Kuala Lumpur duck race,  Orphanage in Penang and recently a donation of rice to the poor in Serendah sanctioned by the government of Selangor. The club also organizes yearly drives which we view as our annual or semi annual gathering of members.

To value add to the club activities, the club also assists commercial organization with their launches. The club to date has assisted with the launch of the Sime Tyres  Astar Premier and also Continental tyres. The club has also assisted in the glamour filled launch of Loaded Magazine. In the pipeline, the club has been approached by several other organizations to completely organize and manage their launches.

Continental Tyre Launch

One of the alliance the club has developed with some vendors is to provide testing and evaluation of their products. To date the club has tested the Sime Astar Tyres, EBC brakes, Power Plus fuel management, Eibach spring and shocks.

The strategic alliance with Proton is one of the club most treasured asset. Being the official representation for the car, Proton works with the club for betterment of the car and also provides valuable insight to the car. The alliance also enables an open forum with Proton which enables members to voice opinions and reactions to the car. The club is often invited to prototype products that are launched at initial premium rates to members. The club is also invited to special launches where members will be treated to exciting first hand experiences and foremost technologies.

The Satria GTi club is one of those club which is just not about the car. It’s about people gathering together to share the love for the car, sharing and growing together helping one another and also not forgetting the people around them. You’d only have to traverse the discussion board and we guarantee you , you’ll be able to feel the spirit.
